Following years of research in support of the US space program, a discovery in 1990 by Dr. Erdemir at the prestigious Argonne National Laboratory redefined the potential of lubrication technology:

Three years later, a new company with uncommon vision was born to bring that untapped potential to a worldwide market.   That company is Advanced Lubrication Technology.  This is the story of ALT.  Its people.  Its dedication.  Most of all, the remarkable  technology that is destined to bring a new standard of lubrication to industry and consumers alike.

Corporate Vision Turns Potential Into Reality

In 1995 ALT acquired exclusive rights to certain patents based on discoveries made at Argonne National Laboratory, where the technology had been honored with the prestigious R&D 100 award.  With that acquisition, and after years of product development and formulation, Advanced Lubrication Technology has become the producer of lubricants that have redefined the existing standards of lubrication.

ALT is now positioned to provide unique solutions to lubrication problems that heretofore have had no practical resolution.
